Today, I met with a few of the gals and we found a new route in Camarillo. I rode with Wendy and Sue and one of Wendy’s friends, Denise. We met at Pitts Ranch Park in Camarillo. We headed down Calle Brisas and then took a right onto Calleguas Creek bike path all the way to Pleasant Valley. We took a right on Pleasant Valley, left on Lewis, left on Camarillo and then we found ourselves at California State University Channel Islands campus, what used to be a mental institution. I had ridden the campus before and it is always a peaceful experience. It must be a nice place to work. We rode through the campus and came out at Potrero. We took a right on Potrero and made our way to Hueneme Road, took a left on Las Posas and then we headed to Mugu Naval Air Station. We eventually made our way to College Park. After we left the park a few more blocks and then we found a bike path that took us to the boulevard. We eventually made our way to Foster’s Donuts and Starbucks. After our rest stop, we headed back to Pitts Ranch Park and called it a day.
We clocked 35.16 miles. I am now at 144.10 miles.
