Today is the day I start my blog and it was a great day indeed!
A few weeks prior, I had entered a Share Your Story contest at AM870 Radio. I submitted a little video describing how the radio station had affected my life. I felt pretty confident about winning, but when Ryan called to tell me that I had won the contest, I was still pretty elated. And the grand prize was $1,000.00!
Wow! What would I do with $1,000.00?
I thought about it. I could buy clothes, groceries, put gas in the car, but I wanted to do something really special. Something that would give the prize even more meaning.
Pamela, the Event Coordinator at AM870, told me to buy something really COOL or to go on an adventure. I decided to do both.
I would buy a bike and ride it all around the San Fernando Valley.
